Oooh! OOOOh!!! I'm at work, and it's letting me post!!! This is so exciting, let me tell you, because for a few weeks now I've been contemplating fixating my lazer-beam-of-destruction at this stupid and oddly gigantic Mac computer and ridding the world of its insolence. Silly me... it was just Netscape that was giving me issues. Netsssscccccaaaaaaaaaaaappppe!!!
So I'm back from my little trip to Olathe. I spent the final moments of my Thanksgiving experience at the cultural debacle that is Hooters Olathe. I thought people really did go there because the food was good, but I was mistaken. Then I thought maybe it was for the service, and this might be true: our waitress did open Logan's cup of cheese and cup of ranch, and she poured ketchup for Jessica and me (although I was actually a bit put off by all of it - as though she thought we were incapable of performing these menial tasks that probably took her several intense training sessions and uniform inspections to get down). Enter the hoola-hooping and the frequent random strike-a-pose moments and the clapping for no apparent reason and the creepiness factor of just about everyone in there, and you get the real reason for going to Hooters: the hooters. And they were everywhere. For some reason though, any potential attraction was somewhat overshadowed by the sadness of it all. I dunno. I still want a Hooters Olathe shirt, just because who would think to put a Hooters in my hometown, let alone emblazon my hometown's name on a 50/50 cotton-poly blend shirt. Kansas City was cool enough. Olathe? Brilliant!
AND now I'm at work. And I'm exhausted. I set up the Christmas tree, and it looks even more fabulous than last year (although I didn't really work to hard to shape the branches, and it shows which is unfortunate). I also watched a lot of 'Arrested Development'. When I get home, I have been employed to search for fabric for my roommates newest never-thought-it'd-really-happen project: a poker table. I'm thinking instead of green felt, a nice royal purple faux suede. I also think a crushed velvet look would be very nice. We'll just have to see. While I'm out doing that, I think I'm going to get garland for the ledge and eletric candles for the windows. It snowed last night, so again, I'm feeling festive.
Only 18 more days until I get my wisdom teeth out!

Oh, mom.
Last night after a rousing trip to K-Mart, my mom and I went for drinks at Old Chicago. It was my first experience going out to "a bar" with a parent. She had already had a fair few glasses of wine, so she continued to drink wine there while I did some more work on my World and Holiday Beer Tours. I tried a pretty interesting beer last night - it was a chocolate stout. It came in a huge 1 pint-6 ounce bottle, and it tasted like Guiness and those chocolate Twizzlers. I can't decide if I liked it or not, although right now I'm really craving that chocolate taste. Hmmm. Anyway, we both got fairly intoxicated and talked about all sorts of fun things.
David had gone out bowling with some friends, which I expected to take quite awhile, so when mom and I got back from "the bar" at 11:30, we were surprised to see him home. Apparently he was equally surprised to be in for the night already. He wanted to know if I wanted to go "somewhere", which here means "Old Chicago." I informed him that I had just returned from there, and was talking to him when his cell phone rang. He answered it and then started blushing and told mom and me to leave the room. I definitely heard a girl's voice, and somehow we discovered it was Ashley, this girl he "cuddles" with at football games. Mom said she even found little clandestine notes from her in his desk. He swears up and down that they aren't dating, and that she already has a boyfriend. I'm skeptical, but then I did get him to admit that he has a crush on her, so that's kind of fun.
OH, and I found out David is going to Japan for two weeks this summer. I won't mention how I feel about it, suffice it to say being the older sibling definitely sucks ass sometimes (read: all the time).
Mom, Dad, and David are going to the Olathe North football game in Topeka today. I think I'm going to go see Sideways or maybe Finding Neverland in the mean time... unless the pie club decides to do pie. Or maybe I should see what Logan and Jessica are doing before Jessica goes to work. Hmmm... so many options.

Olathean Splendor.
I went shopping with mom and David this morning because we decided we wanted to witness the madhouse that is the day after Thanksgiving. Unfortunatley it wasn't quite a madhouse - it was more of a slightly-unstablehouse. We began our holiday shopping adveture at Wal-Mart at 9:00am. We got a parking spot at the very front of the lot, and after making a lap around on the store, we left without buying anything (my mom never goes to Wal-Mart without buying anything. Weird. Then we went to Best Buy circa 9:30am, and we did buy things, but not for anyone except ourselves, which I guess is in the spirit of the season (these days, anyway). Mom got a digital camera; I got Mean Girls, Chapelle's Show Season One (both $9.99 each) and Aqua Teen Hunger Force Vol. 3; and David got Need for Speed Underground 2. So that was exciting. Then we went to Target and fulfilled all of our holiday aroma needs.
I don't know why I've been so adamant about keeping you all abreast of the events that have occured during my time in Olathe. I'm chalking it up to boredom, but I'll leave you to think what you will of me. After all, I could still post things more meaningful.
David's leaving me tonight to go "bowling with friends." I think it's a date, but hey, what do I know. I asked if I could go along and recieved a declarative no, upon which I reminded him of how I've taken him along in the past when I've gone places with my friends. I asked him to remember the time Katie was in town and how we took him to the local PetsMart so he could buy crickets for some reptilian specimen he nannied that summer. As precious as our time was together, and we could still make time for him. What's more, I think a good time was had by all, eh?
Oh, David. Why must you hurt me so?

Thanksgiving Pt. 2
Well, Thanksgiving didn't turn out as shittily as I thought it would. Allow me to list the events that made my turkey day a relative success.
1.) When I arrived at the family gathering, there was little adverse reaction to my oversleeping. Moreover, I think my little second cousins really like me. They're really becomming fun little people. Plus I didn't eat too much, which is nice.
2.) My family and I went to see The Incredibles, which I'd seen, but it was still fun to see it with them. They liked it.
3.) My family and I ate dinner at Old Chicago, easily my favorite place to eat in Olathe simply due to the fact that I get rewarded for drinking beer. I did drink beer; I had 2, so David and I are considering returning in order for me to make my 4-beer-a-day limit.
4.) The monitor of the new computer fits in the little monitor area below the hutch on the desk here, so it's a lot easier to use the computer now. Very nice.
I am now listening to the free streaming radio courtesy of SBC Global. It makes me wish I had DSL in Manhattan, because we don't get any of this shit through Cox. Bastards.
ANYWAY, Thanksgiving has been a pretty good holiday, all in all. For that I am thankful.

Thanksgiving.
I have to express my frustrations to someone, so here they are:
1.) Mike is getting married, or at least really really wants to.
2.) My family didn't find it necessary to wake me up for Thanksgiving dinner (they've already left). This has happened before, and every time it pisses me off, and I tell my mom as nicely as I can manage to that they could (and should) have woken me up. Now, when I go, I'm going to have at least 6 of my frustratingly annoying relatives ask me if I am not getting enough sleep har har har. Blegh.
3.) Mike's getting married, or at least really really wants to.
Oh well. I guess I will just have to stuff my grandiose (sp?) visions of the way things ought to be and shove them up the ass of that less-Butterball more-proverbial turkey, and suck 'em down with a nice large glass of wine. It's looking more and more like I'll be cutting short my stay in Olathe.

Enchiladitos
I am now in Olathe for the next few days (How many? I'm not sure.) Although we got a fair dusting of snow in Manhattan last night, here in Olathe "blanket" seems the more applicable word. It's really quite lovely. I wish I could have watched it falling last night.
What's more - it seems whenever I enter the greater Kansas City area, radio stations automatically begin to play songs that hearken back to those days gone by when I was the Trenary boy roaming the halls at Olathe North. I miss those days immensely, and it's probably in some really perverse "not so much sexual as just plain unhealthy" way. I was on top of my game in high school. Nowadays it's more of a struggle. BUT I'm working on it.
Yesterday was a really great day. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban came out on DVD (and I watched it a couple times). I was on time for work (which for me is 8:02am). Then in Spanish (the class I dread the most) I got my test back (100%) and my second paper back (A+) and then we proceeded to watch a movie called Soldados de Salamina which translates to Soldiers of Salamina, and it was really quite good, though I couldn't go into the finer points of the film because I was being a bit narcoleptic yesterday morning as a result of the previous night's Harry Potter binge (I mean, Kelsey and I baked cookies and brownies and everything... hearkened back to the days of Clo... sigh... I really miss high school <---sick!). NEXT UP was Botany lecture, which we aren't required to attend but I usually do anyway because 1.) the teacher is mildly entertaining and 2.) I have nothing better to do with my afternoons. Yesterday she gave everyone who was there extra credit for attending, so that was an added bonus. I went home to an empty apartment and ate some cheap Subway and was watching the beginning of Harry Potter when who should call me but my good friends Adam and Tim. So I hopped across the street to Coco Bolos for a couple celebratory drinks with them (I was actually the only one drinking - they were eating lunch). Then we hopped back to my place and watched Elf and Harry Potter (by the way... Zooey Deschanel is an amazing singer. She's the girl in Elf, and it is really her voice. Amazing.) Then I went to my night class, and recieved extra credit for being there as well. Then I went out for some cheap beer with some old friends from Cold Stone. The night ended semi-sourly, and for that I feel bad, but as I had nothing to do with it (I think? MT?) I feel okay.
And so that brings me here (minus the several hours I spent at work this morning doing absolutely nothing save watching Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban yet again. It should be noted that my numerous viewings of this film occur because I can't seem to get everyone I know who hasn't seen the movie to sit down and watch the film at the same time. I can't even usually get more than one. It's sad, yes, but I'm not complaining too much. It might be easier if I let people borrow it, but I really have no intention of allowing anyone save a select few of my more conscientious friends to borrow my DVDs, least of all HPatPoA, what after the Indiana Jones fiasco and all. Thanks, but no thanks.)
In closing, I present to you my ideal scenario for tomorrow's holiday proceedings:
1.) Arise at around 10:00am.
2.) Shower, dress, etc.
3.) Corral my mother into joining me in a glass of wine (not likely to be too difficult). Pour my mother's and my first glass of wine at 11:15am. Consume first glass of wine.
4.) Pour my second glass of wine at 11:30am. Consume second glass of wine.
5.) Repeat step 4 every fifteen minutes as necessary until 12:45am.
6.) Leave for luncheon with my psychotic extended family at 12:45am.
A recipe for success or a recipe for disaster? Guess we'll see!

Feeling Festive.
I can't help myself. With the largest hump of the semester behind me and only a few short weeks until winter break, I can't help but feel excited about the coming euphoria that will undoubtedly be brought on by all things Christmas. Today I actually got most of my Christmas shopping done (at least the biggest chunk.) I bought some egg nog, hot chocolate mix, christmas cookie dough, and the soundtrack to Elf (which might be one of the best Christmas albums I own... not too stiff a competition, as there are only two others.) I got into my Creative Writing Workshop for next semester, which is a relief. All my tests went extremely well. My presentation went well. Basically all I have left is a short (3-4 page) paper, two or three shorter (1 page) papers, and finals (all of which occur on the same day, December 9th... OFFICIALLY the day from hell, but it didn't have to be that way. I scheduled it that way myself so that my finals week is stress free (with the exception of having my wisdom teeth out on the 17th.)
Now that I think about it... I think I can wait a bit for winter.

Daily heroism.
I really want to see Imaginary Heroes. I watched the trailer yesterday and it's been on a loop pretty much ever sense. The parents remind me so much of my parents: the last couple seconds of the trailer are so eerily familiar it's almost as if they were transcribed from one of my parents' conversations. PLUS it is written and directed by the guy who wrote the screenplay for X2, which I like. PLUS the trailer has the Postal Service's "The District Sleeps Alone Tonight", which I like also. I doubt it'll come to Manhattan, though, so I'll have to travel to see it, but that'll be fine.
Due to some pushing from a heroic friend, I managed to clean my room, spruce up my resume, and actually APPLY TO SOME JOBS last night. So that is exciting, as is the fact that I got an A on my botany test last week. Hooray.
So, as I said I would, I dedicate this day of wonderment to Katie. Thanks for everything, as always.

Sunday.
I don't know what to do today. I'd really like to get out of the apartment and do something exciting, but the thought of getting out of the apartment and doing something exciting seems boring to me. Ever have one of those days? I'm trying to think of things that are free (or relatively cheap) that I've really been wanting to do, but it seems as though everything I want to do is what I usually do anyway, and so it's just another blase occurance in my increasingly blase life. Still, maybe I could go to the art museum or the prairie. Or maybe I could just sit at home all day and do laundry and get some homework done!!! Riiiiiiiiight.
Dad came up this morning. He was in town for a BSA campout this weekend and so on his way of town stopped by for breakfast (I thought it'd be closer to lunch, but apparently they all wanted to get back to Olathe so they could see the Chiefs game.) So we went to McDonald's. The big excitement there was that there was a mouse running along the wood-trim ledge of a soffit (I dunno how to spell that, but it's a lowered part of a cieling usually built in to incorporate duct work or something of that nature... so there's your new vocab word.) As we watched it (we being my father and my friends Dave and April and April's family, who happened to be at McD's when we got there), it slipped and fell on the floor. It layed there kicking it's legs in the air for a second and then stopped moving. We thought it died, but then the resilient little fucker got back up. Then a heroic and Mexican McDonald's team member caught it in a Super Size cup and took it in the back, where I assume they will process it and fry it up with the rest of the McNuggets in time for lunch.
So that was exciting.
We played poker last night, and I came in second place (which never happens). Angie Harness, an old friend from high school (and junior high and elementary), is/was in town and called me, but since they were going to the bars (which close at two) and we didn't finish playing until two, I didn't get a chance to meet her out. That all kind of sucks because I haven't seen or spoken to Angie (our brief phone conversation aside) for literally three years... maybe more. Maybe she's still in town? I dunno. Maybe that's something fun I could do today. Who knows?
The thing that really surprised me is that Angie, who upon leaving for college was unmoving in her resolve to be called "Angela", referred to herself as Angie. I loved it...
ANYWAY... let's hope I can manage to find SOMETHING more fun and exciting than sitting here watching clips from HP3 over and over between cat naps, which is what I did a lot of yesterday. I think I'll start by taking a shower with my new hyper-expensive shampoo.

Cheers to the future.
Everybody else had one, so I thought it high time to adopt my own fetus...
Adopt your own fetus!
Awww. He looks like a little Republican. Awwww.
Today has been kind of a bad day. I woke up 20 minutes late for work, then I went and got food from the Union for the people I work with and the cashier lady was evil. Then I accidentally got my diet-soda hating boss a diet Pepsi. Then I made a negative comment about the carpet in our office in front of the associate dean who picked it out.
Let's hope the rest of the day goes better.

Lost!
In honor of Lost, which on tonight, I thought I'd inform you all of the things I know I'm missing (NOTE: since I do so so often, I will not be including DVDs in this list, but know that that list has grown, and once I update my inventory, I'll be sure to post it here so that you can all start looking.)
- student ID
- Intro to Music Syllabus
- Botany notebook
That's really about it... it felt like more, but then again I'm always kind of overreacting. Chances are I threw one or more of the items into the trash during one of my purging sessions, but who knows? If you see any loose papers fluttering around in the gutter, you might pick em up and see. Thanks in advance.
Right now I'm at work, and I'm using my boss's computer which actually allows me to post on my blog (the one I use is inept). What's more, I get to listen to iTunes radio, which is nice, except for now the ambient alternative sounds of my music are in competition with a co-worker's religious station. Oh wait. She turned it off. That's nice.
I played only about thirty minutes worth of LOTR: Third Age last night, so that's promising. Since I can't find my lab notebook and therefore cannot do any homework, I did a Google search of my name earlier (as any bored narcissist would) and found that my blog actually comes up. I thought that was exciting. Also appearing were some news articles from my old days in Science Olympiad, a mention of some academic award I got back when I was smart, and a write-up of and pictures from a Mardi Gras party I did some decorating for back when I lived in Putnam (probably right around the time I started my blog). They didn't show or even mention the most ingenious portion of my decorative work, which were some awnings I created with butcher block paper, but whatever. Not like I'm bitter.
What other mundane things can I tell you? I baked myself a frozen pizza last night for dinner. It was a DiGiorno thin crust with chicken, spinach, and tomato. It was really very good, although I've decided that I want to throw my pizza stone in the trash and buy myself a good old orthodox pizza pan. I also need a new cookie sheet because I threw my old one away after it kind of got ruined when a friend cooked some squash on it and then left it there. Meh. If we're being honest, I really could do with a good deal of new kitchen equipment. My pots and pans, especially my big pot which was damaged last Halloween when my friend wore it on his head as his costume (a "pothead"... my idea... didn't think it through very well) should probably be replaced, and my steak/cutting knives really kind of suck. I also dislike my toaster, which has the unfortunate habit of allowing bread slices and pop tarts to get stuck in its wirey grip, causing interesting odors and difficult to clean messes.
Back to the pizza for a moment, I burnt myself pretty nicely when I tried to take it out of the oven. I only touched the oven wrack for a split second, but there is a nice second degree burn on my wrist. It has turned kind of an opalescent lavender color which is fun I guess.
Sigh. I can't think of anything else to ramble about, so I suppose I'll let you get on with your life. As always, thanks for reading. Hope we can do it again sometime.

Life is awesome.
I've gone to bed at 4 am two nights in a row now, and I must say, I've kind of missed that brand of silence that only occurs so late. Like me and the couple of crazies who drive by are the only living souls in Manhattan. What I haven't missed is that damn three hours of sleep a night thing. I go to work in the morning and stagger around like a zombie until I manage to down a couple cups of coffee and take some Advil. After that, I'm good to go. It's interesting, just when I thought the semester couldn't get any worse, it really didn't. That's kind of a first. No, there are only four more weeks of class and then I'm done! (until next semester). It is a really nice feeling. I have a big helping of tests to combat with in the coming weeks, but I'm not to worried - I haven't "studied" yet, and I've managed to pull A's on just about every one of them (save a dismal C+ on my last Botany test).
Also I signed up for this customer analysis program awhile ago, and so for several months I've been taking online surveys and recieving $5.00 for each one. For the most recent one, I took one survey ($5.00) and then they decided to send me the product (FREE FOOD... which is nice because I'm very poor... but not too poor to buy Harry Potter in two weeks) and then I take another survey and get another $5.00. All this makes me very happy.
Still waiting to hear about whether or not I'll be able to take my Short Story Workshop class next semester. He was supposed to let us know by yesterday. Things aren't looking so sterling.

Becomming the nerd I was born to be...
I'll give you the symptoms; you let me know:
- purchased the new Lord of the Rings: The Third Age RPG for my Gamecube.
- moved the Gamecube into my room so I could play it for long periods of time without 1.) annoying people and 2.) being annoyed by all the distractions that would invariably be commonplace were I to play in the living room
- have put in fifteen hours so far... I bought the game on Saturday
- now have a working knowledge of HP's and AP's
- skipped class today and layed in bed with the blinds closed for about six hours.
- haven't shaven, trimmed nails, or cut hair for quite some time.
- am wearing the same outfit I wore briefly on both Friday and Saturday
I thought I was beginning to smell B.O., and as many of you know, I am B.O.-phobic, so that would be pretty bad. I literally feel my image has taken some severe HP's here... but then again, it couldn't have gotten much lower than it was.
The game's pretty fun though. I've never really played a turn-based RPG before, and I never thought it'd be so exciting as it is. Still, my feelings are lukewarm at best. Don't worry, friends... it's not another Harry Potter.
Speaking of which, now that I'm poor as hell, I've decided that the next thing that I am going to buy (save some milk and bread and maybe some soap if I can't stretch it out long enough) between now and Thanksgiving is Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. I saw a commercial for the DVD online today and couldn't breath for about six minutes.
Have I eaten today?

Longing for the future...
Just a quick note... read Katie's post from today... I love it.
I only hope that someday my life can be like that... it's what I long for more than anything - the indescribable happiness that can only be brought on by those indescribably beatiful little moments.
So... shoutouts to my homegirl!! Thanks for unknowingly helping some of my clouds to part yet again. WOOO WOOO!!!

Someone up there loves me!
Oh Canada. You're fabulous. You really didn't need to do that, but since you have, I truly know how much you love me even though over half of my fellow countrymen don't. Thank you for http://www.marryanamerican.ca/, that wonderful website where you have faithfully declared to assist people like me to leave this God forsaken jerk-fest.
It's tempting... it really is. I'll have to think about it.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, I woke up extremely early this morning because I'm tired of being late for work. We'll see if I can still manage to be late with such a large head start. I know I'm capable, but I hope I'll somehow not let it happen... but we know how my trying to prevent bad things from happening has gone over the past week, don't we America (by America, I am talking to that group of people who believes in what America actually stands for, as opposed to those who believe in the corrupt America that we have actually become.)
Some questions:
- Is it just me, or does it seem that somehow freedom of religion has managed to become pigeonholed as well?
- Does anyone else find our own terrorist tendencies a bit more worrisome than those of radicals living in caves in the deserts of the middle east?
- Does anyone else think that perhaps by terrorizing the rest of the world, we are creating even more enemies for ourselves, thereby making ourselves much less safe?
- Would anyone agree that the notion of banning abortion, making a constitutional amendment preventing gay marriage, and ignoring the potentially huge benefit of embryonic stem cell research is not only backwards thinking, but just plain ignorant?
Michael Trenary is indignant, people. You're going to have to allow him a bit of room to rant. It's all I can do right now to keep myself from building a guillotine and starting my own damned revolution... so think of this blog, rather than a fight-starter, as a peace-keeper. If you don't like it, if you could kindly direct yourself to a conservative's blog, that'd be greeeat.
I'm going to see The Incredibles today at 4:00. I'm pretty flipping excited (I decided to try and keep the dropping of the f-bomb down to a minimum since at any moment, small impressionable youth might come and see my website, and I wouldn't want their parents to deny them of all my glorious insight simply because I couldn't contain my passion. As such, know that instead of "flipping", I really meant to use the other f-word. I digress...) Apparently there'll be a Star Wars Episode 3 trailer in front of it, althought I wouldn't put it past Seth Childs Carmike Cinema 12 to somehow flip all that up. Still, it's pretty exciting, but don't worry... I'm not that excited, David Broyles.
I am that excited over Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, which is to be released on DVD in a little over two weeks. I'm also pretty dang happy that they FINALLY released Napoleon Dynamite in theatres here. Now I just face the daunting task of getting my friends to go see it. Not that they have... to... but... hold on, sorry. I'm getting pretty annoyed by my gratuitous use of italics. I'm done.

If you all would just agree with me...
As life wears on, you find out more and more about people that you just wish weren't true. Here's an exerpt from something a "friend" told me last night after I mentioned how I feel that our endeavors abroad bare a striking resemblance to terrorism: (note, it's from memory, and therefor not quite exact, but I promise I'm not doing that thing where I alter it a little to make it seem blatantly wrong)
"Well that's what's best for the US. If we have to be terrorists to make the country safer, then that's what we should do."
....
..........
I waited and then pleaded for the "haha, just kidding," but he wasn't. And so we have an image of the popular mindset of the state of Kansas and apparently everywhere else in a five-state radius. I find myself wondering, with it becoming more and more easy to deny people their basic rights, I wonder when we'll start denying idiots and assholes their right to vote?
Until then, please check out the blogs of my friends Logan and Jessica, both of whom raise some excellent points - in my opinion, anyway.

"I voted to end abortion, and all I got was this lousy deficit!"
Oops, we did it again! I am still a little too pissed about the results of the election to write down my thoughts coherently, but all I can say is WHAT IN THE FUCK ARE YOU PEOPLE THINKING?!?!
My friends, and I mean all you people with whom I pseudo-communicate semi-regularly, I am in utter disbelief. Some of you have strong enough feelings that you feel you can cut my thoughts down and put me in my place, and yet you can't even get out and vote? Some of you vote but don't really know enough about the person you're voting for to vote for them in good enough conscience to tell others who it was you voted for. Still others of you allow stupid, STUPID issues to persuade you to vote. One girl I work with asked me yesterday "How can you vote for Kerry? He's Catholic, and he's for abortion!" I offered her my old "common sense" answer that figured most conservatives and philosophers already had a rebuttal to - that no matter what your beloved Shrub can do, abortion's not going to be outlawed (how would another Republican ever get re-elected?) If, I added, by some small chance it is made illegal then abortion is still going to happen, but a lot more people are going to be killed. Her response: "Oh, I never thought of that." Idiot.
So now we have another four years for our piece of shit President to try and prove himself. Using our nation as his fucking playtime chemistry set, he's going to try and reunite the country that he has so deftly torn apart throughout his first term and thus save face for his fucking party so that next election the whole country looks like a fucking cherry again, that way he and his International Church of the Corporations buddies can line their pockets with a few more layers of our greenbacks. I hope to God all you conservatives who thought you were right enough to paint the whole country red this go around really are right... that he will truly make things better... for everyone. Forgive me if I am skeptical. If things do get better, which I doubt, it will be in spite of the bumbling idiot you once again put in (or failed to keep out of) the throne rather than because of him.
I've never really seriously considered moving out of the country until today. I can't handling being a member of what I feel has become the largest, most powerful terrorist nation of them all. This is no longer the America that I love or the America that I pledge my allegiance to. And maybe I'll sound like a terrorist myself in saying this, but if there were a second civil war, I'd gladly fight and die against the people who I feel are fucking shit up in America. Hopefully it's not you, dear reader.
Give me a couple days, I'm sure I'll be able to breathe again. Meanwhile...
The comedy writers of the world are rejoicing.
The holy rollers are thanking their stars that Rainbow Jack and Fluffy-ruffles Jim won't be able to marry eachother.
The rest of the world is scared out of their fucking minds.
Is it 2008 yet?
